Why ‘Drunken’ cake? Well, as Natasha explains : ‘the cherries are soaked in a golden rum and the layers are moist from cherry rum syrup.’ Doesn’t that sound delightful? And the flavour of cherry is often overlooked when one is contemplating the next cake to bake. Either way, this cake is moist and full of cherry-chocolaty goodness! And, doesn’t it look absolutely fabulous!

Wow! So, Rosie decided to experiment with Orange Cake for a week – and are we glad she did. In her words : ‘I made orange layer cake exactly 5 times in one week, and this was the one I was truly pleased with.’ Not only is this tempting treat flavorsome, it is also moist and aromatic.

Jaime tells us that she is not much of a ‘morning person’, which only adds to her passion for this delightful Salsa Egg Bake breakfast. One of the added attractions is that this can be prepared the day before and refrigerated – all you need to do the next morning is to pop it into your oven. Even better, this is a family favourite in Jaime’s home, and you know how much we love featuring those!

Bake time is around 45-50 minutes.

As stated in the recipe, this delicious looking dish sounds like a combination of tacos and lasagna! Better still, one or two healthier substitutions have been made in the interests of both nutrition and taste. This dish also makes for great leftovers!

‘These yeasty critters are a direct shot of sticky, sweet, summery goodness, oozing lemon-nutmeg’ – well, that’s exactly how Shiv describes these glorious looking Sticky Lemon Rolls. Their construction isn’t unlike that of Cinnamon Rolls, and they will require you to prepare a dough.

Bake time is around 35 minutes, with a yield of 12 large rolls.

Chocolate Wasted Cake

Oh my goodness! If you are a chocolate-lover (‘if?’, LOL) then you are just going to adore this rich, moist cake. Rianne admits to being a chocoholic herself, and this decadent delight – whose ingredients include a number of candy bars – was created for her brother’s birthday. In fact, the cake was named as a tribute to him having stated ‘I wanna get chocolate wasted’. Wow, don’t we all!

Yields 8-12 servings.

Chelsea’s Roasted Vegetable Soup

Imagine enjoying this tasty, rich, vegetable soup during the chillier months. This dish is packed with fresh vegetable goodness and is so simple to prepare and cook. Chelsea uses a crockpot/slow cooker when she makes this, but points out that you could just as easily use a soup pot.

Vicki’s Homemade Crisps

These wonderful crisps (‘potato chips’ if you live outside the UK) came about due to clever Vicki getting a hunger on but finding that she was all out of store bought crisps. Her method of choice was to use good quality potatoes and to cook in the microwave. And, as Vicki suggests, if you have one you might choose to slice the potatoes with a mandoline.
